  • Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients with mental health issues
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses
  • Monitor and assess patient's mental and emotional status
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Rn License: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Registered Nurse License In The State Of Florida, Indicating That They Have Met The Education, Training, And Competency Requirements To Practice As A Registered Nurse.

  • Bls Certification: Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification Is Required For All Registered Nurses At Orlando Health. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Is Trained In Basic Life-Saving Techniques And Can Respond To Emergency Situations.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Psychiatric Nursing Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience Working As A Psychiatric Nurse. This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Knowledge And Skills In Caring For Patients With Mental Health Disorders.

  • Availability For Rotating Shifts: This Position Requires The Candidate To Be Available For Rotating Shifts, Which May Include Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, And Holidays. This Flexibility Is Essential To Providing 24/7 Patient Care.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Psychiatric Nurse, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial. The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Provide Quality Care And Support.
