Join the Orlando Health team as an RN Adult Psych for our full-time day position and make a difference in the lives of our patients. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to provide quality care to adult psychiatric patients in our dynamic and supportive environment. As an RN Adult Psych, you will play a vital role in assessing and managing the mental health needs of our patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.   1. Provide quality care to adult psychiatric patients.
  2. Assess and manage the mental health needs of patients.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  4. Ensure patient safety and monitor for any changes or concerns in mental health status.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide education and support.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  8. Adhere to all hospital and nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
  9. Stay current on developments and advancements in psychiatric nursing.
  10. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and understanding towards patients with mental health disorders.
  11. Serve as an advocate for patients and promote their overall well-being.
  12. Collaborate with community resources to assist patients with discharge planning and follow-up care.
  13. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in patient care.
  15. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  16. Stay organized and manage time effectively to prioritize patient care needs.
  17. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients.
  18. Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  19. Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  20. Continuously evaluate and improve nursing practices to enhance patient outcomes.

Job Qualifications
  • Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Florida.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Or Higher From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Psychiatric Nursing, Preferably In An Acute Care Setting.

  • Certification In Psychiatric And Mental Health Nursing (Pmhn) From The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc).

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Teams.
