We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at South Lake Hospital in the Med-Surg unit. This is a part-time position, working day shifts, to support our acute care patients.   1. Provide exceptional care to patients in the Med-Surg unit at South Lake Hospital.
  2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and follow established protocols.
  3. Monitor and assess patient progress and promptly report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  5. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
  6. Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
  7. Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive and supportive healthcare environment.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with data collection and analysis.
  10. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other professional development opportunities.
  11. Stay current with advancements in nursing practice and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
  12. Adhere to Orlando Health's policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of job performance.
  14. Assist with orienting and mentoring new staff members.
  15. Continuously strive to provide the best possible patient experience and contribute to the overall success of Orlando Health.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn License In The State Of Florida

  • Bls Certification From The American Heart Association

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Acute Care Setting
