  1. Provide direct care to oncology patients in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  2. Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  3. Administer medications and treatment as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Monitor patient progress and provide education on disease management and treatment.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  7. Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times.
  8. Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  10. Maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion while interacting with patients and their families.
  11. Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in oncology nursing.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  13. Serve as a resource and mentor to other healthcare team members.
  14. Maintain strict infection control practices.
  15. Continuously assess and address patient needs and concerns.
  16. Act as an advocate for patients and their families.
  17. Collaborate with case managers and social workers to ensure continuity of care.
  18. Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  19. Attend training and educational programs to maintain and enhance nursing skills.
  20. Act as a positive representative of Orlando Health and uphold its mission and values.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn License: Candidates Must Possess A Valid And Current Registered Nurse License In The State Of Florida.

  • Acute Care Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Acute Care Setting, Preferably In Medical Oncology.

  • Oncology Certification: Preference Will Be Given To Candidates Who Hold A Certification In Oncology Nursing, Such As Ocn Or Aocn.

  • Bls Certification: All Candidates Must Have A Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification From The American Heart Association.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members Is Crucial In This Role. Candidates Should Possess Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills.
