  1. Develop and implement training programs for respiratory care staff based on best practices and industry standards.
  2. Conduct regular assessments of staff knowledge and skills to identify areas for improvement and provide targeted education.
  3. Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure that respiratory care protocols and procedures are up-to-date and in line with current evidence-based practices.
  4. Coordinate and facilitate continuing education opportunities for respiratory care staff to maintain licensure and enhance their professional development.
  5. Serve as a resource for respiratory care staff to answer questions, provide guidance, and offer support in their daily clinical practice.
  6. Stay current with advancements and changes in the respiratory care field and incorporate new knowledge into training programs.
  7. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the respiratory care department.
  8. Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new respiratory care staff, ensuring they receive comprehensive training and orientation.
  9. Develop and maintain educational materials, including presentations, handouts, and online resources.
  10. Work closely with other healthcare professionals to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and ensure a high standard of patient care.
  11. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as needed to meet the changing needs of the organization.
  12. Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to educational programs and patient care.
  13. Maintain accurate records of staff training and certifications.
  14. Communicate regularly with management and leadership regarding staff education and training initiatives.
  15. Serve as a role model for excellence in respiratory care education and patient-centered care.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or A Related Field.

  • Active And Unrestricted Respiratory Therapist License In The State Of Florida.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Clinical Experience In Respiratory Care, Including Experience In Critical Care Settings.

  • Previous Experience As A Respiratory Care Educator Or Instructor, With Demonstrated Ability To Develop And Implement Educational Programs.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Teach And Train Students And Staff.
