- Provide respiratory therapy services to neonatal patients in the NICU on a PRN basis.
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and other prescribed treatments to maintain and improve respiratory function.
- Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Stay up-to-date on current respiratory therapy practices and procedures.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
- Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients and their families.
- Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Demonstrate professionalism and excellent communication skills while interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Take on additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support the NICU team.
Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications.
Valid Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) License From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Respiratory Therapist In A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Nicu).
Ability To Work Night Shifts On A Prn (As Needed) Basis.
Strong Knowledge Of Neonatal Respiratory Care Procedures And Equipment, Including Surfactant Administration, Mechanical Ventilation, And High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation.
