
Registered Respiratory Therapist, NICU

- Perform respiratory therapy services: The primary responsibility of the Registered Respiratory Therapist will be to provide respiratory therapy services to newborn patients in the NICU. This includes administering oxygen therapy, performing chest physiotherapy, and managing mechanical ventilators.
- Monitor patient progress: The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for monitoring and assessing the respiratory status of patients in the NICU. This includes monitoring vital signs, oxygen levels, and respiratory distress.
- Develop and implement treatment plans: Working closely with the healthcare team, the Respiratory Therapist will develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient. This may include adjusting oxygen levels, administering medications, and performing respiratory treatments.
- Educate patients and families: The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for educating patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and equipment. This includes teaching parents how to care for their child's respiratory needs at home.

Valid Rt (Registered Respiratory Therapist) License From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Respiratory Therapist In A Nicu Setting.
Certification In Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care (Nps) From The Nbrc.
Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certifications.
Knowledge And Proficiency In Utilizing Specialized Equipment And Techniques For Neonatal Respiratory Care, Such As High-Frequency Ventilation And Surfactant Administration.
