- Provide exceptional respiratory care to patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Administer and monitor respiratory treatments and therapies, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and mechanical ventilation.
- Assess patients' respiratory status and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and therapies.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in respiratory therapy practices.
- Mentor and train other respiratory therapy staff, as needed.
- Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients and their families.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and patients.
- Adhere to all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and educational opportunities.
- Continuously assess and improve respiratory therapy processes and procedures.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, representing Orlando Health in a positive manner.
- Adhere to ethical standards and codes of conduct in all aspects of job performance.
Bls And Acls Certifications From The American Heart Association.
Bachelor's Or Associate's Degree In Respiratory Therapy From An Accredited Institution.
Current And Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Certification From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).
Active And Unrestricted Florida State License As A Respiratory Therapist.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Respiratory Therapist In A Hospital Setting.
