  1. Provide exceptional healthcare to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at South Lake Hospital.
  2. Demonstrate strong clinical skills and knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Monitor and document patient progress, symptoms, and vital signs.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Respond to patient needs and concerns promptly and compassionately.
  7. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  9. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  10. Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
  11. Advocate for patients and ensure their rights are respected.
  12. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  13. Identify and report any changes in patient condition to the appropriate healthcare team members.
  14. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve nursing skills and knowledge.
  15. Serve as a mentor and role model for other nursing staff.
  16. Adhere to ethical and professional standards of nursing practice.
  17. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in team meetings.
  18. Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  19. Collaborate with unit leadership to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree Or Higher.

  • Current Rn License In The State Of Florida.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Progressive Care Or Intermediate Care Unit.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification.

  • Strong Critical Thinking And Clinical Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment.
