  1. Provide exceptional patient care in the outpatient cardiology department.
  2. Utilize clinical skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  5. Educate patients and their families about their condition and treatment plan.
  6. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality and coordinated care.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  8. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and protocols of Orlando Health.
  9. Stay current with advancements in cardiology and implement evidence-based practices.
  10. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  11. Participate in departmental and hospital meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives.
  12. Maintain a safe and clean working environment and follow infection control protocols.
  13. Serve as a role model and mentor for other staff members.
  14. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of patient care.
  16. Adhere to regulatory and accreditation standards.
  17. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
  18. Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement process improvements for better patient outcomes.
  19. Adhere to schedule and be flexible to meet the changing needs of the department.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn License In The State Of Florida: This Is A Mandatory Requirement For Any Rn Position At Orlando Health, As It Ensures That The Candidate Has Met All The Necessary Education And Training Requirements To Practice As A Registered Nurse In The State.

  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn): While An Associate Degree In Nursing May Be Accepted For Some Positions, A Bsn Is Preferred For The Role Of An Outpatient Cardiology Nurse At Orlando Health. This Higher Level Of Education Equips The Candidate With The Knowledge And Skills Needed To Effectively Care For Patients With Complex Cardiac Conditions.

  • Cpr And Acls Certification: As An Outpatient Cardiology Nurse, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Providing Emergency Care To Patients Experiencing Cardiac Events. Therefore, Current Cpr And Acls Certification Is Essential To Demonstrate The Ability To Respond To Cardiac Emergencies.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Cardiac Care Setting: Orlando Health Seeks Candidates With A Strong Background In Cardiac Care To Fill Their Outpatient Cardiology Nurse Positions. A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Cardiac Care Setting, Such As A Cardiac Intensive Care Unit Or Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Is Typically Required.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: As An Outpatient Cardiology Nurse, The Candidate Will Work Closely With Patients, Their Families, And A Multidisciplinary Team Of Healthcare Professionals.
