- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Outpatient Cardiology department, utilizing advanced medical technology and evidence-based practices.
- Assess the health status of patients and implement appropriate nursing interventions, such as administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing treatments.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, based on their specific needs and medical history.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and medications, and provide them with resources and support to manage their health.
- Accurately document all patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and responses, in accordance with department and hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols and promoting patient and staff safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, utilizing empathy and active listening skills to understand and address their concerns.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in cardiology nursing, attending trainings and conferences as needed to maintain knowledge and skills.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures, in the delivery of patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Valid Rn License In The State Of Florida: Candidates Must Possess A Current And Active Rn License In The State Of Florida, Ensuring That They Have Met All Necessary Education And Training Requirements To Practice As A Nurse.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Cardiology: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Cardiology Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Cardiovascular Diseases, Treatments, And Procedures.
Bls And Acls Certification: Candidates Must Hold Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certifications, Demonstrating Their Ability To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Critical Care To Patients.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Outpatient Cardiology Nurse, Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential In Establishing And Maintaining Relationships With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn): While Not Always Required, Candidates With A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Are Preferred For This Role. A Bsn Provides A More Comprehensive Education In Nursing Principles And Prepares Nurses For Leadership Roles Within The Healthcare Industry.
