Job Description

We are currently seeking a Full Time RN to join our team, working day shifts at Orlando Regional Medical Center. As an RN in the PACU, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients recovering from surgery.   1. Provide direct patient care: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care to post-operative patients in the PACU department.
  2. Monitor patient vital signs: The RN will be responsible for monitoring and recording patient vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and oxygen levels.
  3. Administer medications: The RN will be responsible for administering medications as prescribed by the physician and ensuring proper documentation.
  4. Assess patient needs: The RN will conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and communicate any changes or concerns to the physician.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team: The RN will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and therapists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  6. Implement and monitor care plans: The RN will be responsible for implementing and monitoring individualized care plans for each patient, based on their specific needs and recovery goals.
  7. Educate patients and families: The RN will educate patients and their families on post-operative care, medication management, and any necessary lifestyle changes.
  8. Ensure patient safety: The RN will follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of patients at all times.
  9. Maintain accurate records: The RN will maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessments, medications, and treatments, in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  10. Stay updated on healthcare practices: The RN will stay updated on current healthcare practices, procedures, and protocols to provide the highest quality of care to patients.
  11. Adhere to ethical and legal standards: The RN will adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  12. Provide emotional support: The RN will provide emotional support to patients and their families during the post-operative recovery process.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives: The RN will actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bls And Acls Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution

  • Current And Valid Rn Licensure In The State Of Florida

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Perioperative Or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (Pacu) Setting

  • Strong Critical Thinking And Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Well In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
