  1. Provide patient-centered care: As a Pre-Op nurse, your main responsibility will be to ensure that our patients receive compassionate and high-quality care during the pre-operative phase of their surgical journey.
  2. Conduct pre-operative assessments: You will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of patients' medical history, allergies, and current health status to ensure a safe and successful surgical experience.
  3. Educate patients and their families: It will be your responsibility to educate patients and their families about the pre-operative process, including any necessary preparations and post-operative expectations.
  4. Monitor vital signs and administer medications: You will be responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs, administering medications, and managing pain to ensure their comfort and safety during the pre-operative phase.
  5. Collaborate with the perioperative team: As a vital member of the perioperative team, you will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
  6. Ensure proper documentation: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.
  7. Provide emotional support: As a Pre-Op nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing emotional support to patients and their families during a potentially stressful time.
  8. Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies: You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and supplies used during the pre-operative phase are in good working condition and properly stocked.
  9. Adhere to infection control protocols: It will be your responsibility to follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
  10. Continuously improve patient care: As a part of our dynamic team, you will be expected to participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on the latest advancements in pre-operative care and continuously improve patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Rn License In The State Of Florida

  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree

  • Bls And Acls Certifications

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pre-Operative Nursing

  • Experience With Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Systems, Specifically In Pre-Operative Documentation And Patient Care Plans
