- Provide specialized nursing care to patients with cancer, utilizing evidence-based practices and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition, including symptoms and side effects of treatment, and make appropriate referrals as needed.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, following infection control and safety standards.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to anticipate and address potential complications and emergencies.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members and participate in patient care conferences, providing input and advocating for the best interests of patients.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected and promoting a patient-centered approach to care.
- Stay current with advancements and developments in oncology nursing, participating in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as legal and ethical standards, in all aspects of patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, procedures, and outcomes.

Current Rn License In The State Of Florida: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid And Active Rn License In The State Of Florida To Be Eligible For The Position.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Preferred, Although An Associate's Degree May Be Considered With Relevant Experience. This Demonstrates A Commitment To Ongoing Education And Advanced Knowledge In The Field Of Nursing.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Medical Oncology: To Be Considered For This Position, The Candidate Must Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Medical Oncology Setting. This Ensures That They Have A Strong Understanding Of The Specialized Care Required For Patients With Cancer.
Bls And Acls Certification: The Candidate Must Possess Both Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications. These Certifications Demonstrate The Candidate's Ability To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Life-Saving Interventions.
Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: As A Registered Nurse In Medical Oncology, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Working With A Multidisciplinary Team And Communicating With Patients And Their Families.
