Job Description

Welcome to the Orlando Health team! As a Registered Nurse in our ORMC PICC Unit, you will have the opportunity to provide compassionate and high-quality care to our patients.   1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in the ORMC PICC Unit.
  2. Perform nursing duties according to established protocols and standards of care.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Monitor and assess patients' health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical staff.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  6. Educate patients and their families on their health conditions and provide guidance on self-care and disease management.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall improvement of patient outcomes.
  10. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while providing care, and promote a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients and their families.
  11. Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in nursing practice and incorporate them into daily patient care.
  12. Foster strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
  13. Demonstrate commitment to the organization's mission, values, and standards of behavior.
  14. Adhere to all regulatory and legal requirements related to nursing practice.
  15. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and performance evaluations.
  16. Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the unit and patients.
  17. Maintain a healthy work-life balance and promote a positive work culture.
  18. Serve as a role model for nursing professionalism and excellence in patient care.
  19. Collaborate with leadership to identify areas for improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of new policies and procedures.
  20. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Florida.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Registered Nurse, With Experience In A Critical Care Or Specialized Unit Preferred.

  • Certification In Infusion Therapy And/Or Vascular Access (Crni Or Va-Bc) Preferred.

  • Strong Critical Thinking, Communication, And Decision-Making Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Fast-Paced Environment.
