- Provide direct patient care in the Electrophysiology Lab, including pre-procedure preparation, monitoring during procedures, and post-procedure recovery.
- Utilize advanced knowledge and skills in cardiology and electrophysiology to assist in life-saving procedures for patients with cardiac arrhythmias.
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition, taking appropriate action and alerting the physician as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on procedures and post-procedure care.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment in the Electrophysiology Lab.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient procedures, progress, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and techniques in electrophysiology and implement them into practice.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for less experienced nurses in the Electrophysiology Lab.
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills to assess and anticipate patient needs during procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure quality and timely care.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of patient care in the Electrophysiology Lab.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Serve as an ambassador for Orlando Health, promoting our mission and values to patients and their families.
Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Florida
Bls And Acls Certification
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Electrophysiology Lab Or Related Cardiac Field
Additional Certifications Such As Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (Ceps) Or Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (Ccds) Preferred
