Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Florida: A Critical Care Ground Transport Team Nurse At Orlando Health Must Possess A Valid And Unrestricted Rn License In The State Of Florida. This Ensures That The Nurse Is Qualified To Practice Nursing In The State And Is Familiar With The Laws And Regulations Governing Nursing Practice In Florida.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Critical Care Experience: Candidates For This Role Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Critical Care Setting, Such As An Intensive Care Unit Or Emergency Department. This Experience Provides The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Assess And Care For Critically Ill Patients During Ground Transport.
Bls, Acls, And Pals Certifications: As Part Of The Critical Care Ground Transport Team, Nurses Must Have Current Certifications In Basic Life Support (Bls), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls), And Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals). These Certifications Ensure That The Nurse Is Proficient In Emergency Care And Resuscitation Techniques.
Experience With Patient Transport And Stabilization: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have Experience With Patient Transport, Including Knowledge Of Proper Body Mechanics And Equipment Operation. They Should Also Be Skilled In Patient Stabilization Techniques, Such As Iv Placement, Medication Administration, And Airway Management.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Member Of The Ground Transport Team, The Nurse Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Other Team Members, As Well As Receiving And Sending Medical Updates To The Receiving Facility. They Should Also Have Strong Teamwork Skills To Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals And Work Together To Provide The Best Care For The Patient.
