If so, Orlando Health is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Registered Nurse Care Coordinator for Infectious Disease. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in coordinating and managing care for patients with infectious diseases, ensuring they receive the highest level of treatment and support.   1. Coordinate and manage care for patients with infectious diseases, ensuring they receive the highest level of treatment and support.
  2. Monitor and assess patient progress, collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  3. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding infectious disease management, prevention, and treatment.
  4. Serve as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and community resources to facilitate continuity of care.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all care provided and any changes in condition.
  6. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  7. Monitor and maintain infection control measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases within the healthcare facility.
  8. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and patient-centered care.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices for infectious disease management.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  11. Stay current with developments and advancements in infectious disease management and treatment.
  12. Adhere to all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures.
  13. Serve as a role model for compassionate and patient-centered care.
  14. Maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
  15. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and conferences related to infectious diseases.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Typically Required For A Registered Nurse Care Coordinator, Infectious Disease Position At Orlando Health. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Nursing Principles And Clinical Skills.

  • Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Florida: A Current And Active Rn License In The State Of Florida Is A Mandatory Requirement For This Role. This Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met All The Necessary Educational And Clinical Requirements To Practice As A Nurse In The State.

This Experience Shows That The Candidate Has A Strong Understanding Of Infection Control Protocols And Is Familiar With Managing Patients With Infectious Diseases.
