If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Radiation Therapist III at Orlando Health.As a Radiation Therapist III, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality radiation therapy treatments to our patients. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining radiation therapy equipment, collaborating with the radiation oncologist and medical team, and providing excellent patient care.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of five years of experience as a Radiation Therapist, advanced knowledge of radiation therapy techniques and procedures, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.   1. Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment to deliver accurate and effective treatments to cancer patients.
  2. Collaborate with radiation oncologist and medical team to develop treatment plans and ensure proper execution of treatments.
  3. Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  4. Monitor and assess patient reactions and responses to radiation therapy, adjusting treatment parameters as needed.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and progress.
  6. Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory protocols related to radiation therapy.
  7. Stay up-to-date on new techniques and technologies in radiation therapy and incorporate them into practice as appropriate.
  8. Train and educate new radiation therapists and students on proper procedures and protocols.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, including stocking and ordering necessary supplies.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to patient care.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices.
  12. Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Radiation Therapy Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience As A Radiation Therapist, With A Minimum Of 2 Years In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role.

  • Current Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Radiation Therapy.

  • Experience Working With A Variety Of Radiation Therapy Equipment And Treatment Planning Systems.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead And Mentor A Team.
