-Accurately code and document medical procedures and diagnoses according to established coding guidelines and regulations -Review medical records and provider documentation to ensure proper coding and billing -Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers to clarify coding discrepancies and ensure accurate documentation -Stay up-to-date on changes in coding guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance -Utilize electronic health record systems and coding software to accurately assign codes -Review claims denials and appeals to identify coding errors and make necessary corrections -Work with billing and revenue cycle teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of claims -Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of patient medical records and coding information -Participate in department meetings and training sessions to stay current on coding updates and best practices -Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to improve coding processes and accuracy -Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, as well as coding and documentation standards -Act as a resource and provide guidance to other coding and billing staff as needed -Strive for continuous improvement in coding accuracy and efficiency to support the overall success of the organization.
