In this role, you will work closely with our team of neurosurgeons to provide comprehensive care to patients with neurological conditions.   1. Collaborate with neurosurgeons and other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients with neurological conditions.
  2. Conduct patient assessments and assist with creating treatment plans under the guidance of neurosurgeons.
  3. Perform various procedures and assist in surgeries as directed by neurosurgeons.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress, including vital signs, medications, and interventions.
  5. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and post-operative care.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and ensure compliance with all documentation and billing requirements.
  7. Stay current on advancements and best practices in neurosurgery and incorporate them into patient care.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, therapists, and pharmacists, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  10. Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and answering any questions.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for enhancing patient care in the neurosurgery department.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  13. Attend departmental meetings and trainings as required.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth.
  15. Represent Orlando Health in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Graduate Degree From An Accredited Physician Assistant Program.

  • Current Physician Assistant Certification From The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Neurosurgery Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Neurosurgical Procedures, Treatments, And Medications.

  • Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide High-Quality Patient Care In A Fast-Paced Environment.
