In this role, you will be responsible for collecting and preparing patient samples for laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.   1. Perform phlebotomy procedures in a timely and accurate manner, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  2. Collect, label, and prepare patient samples for laboratory testing.
  3. Maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and ensure they are properly stored and stocked.
  4. Follow strict quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
  7. Follow standard operating procedures for processing and handling specimens.
  8. Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of all collected specimens.
  9. Assist with maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
  10. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  11. Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of phlebotomy and laboratory procedures, staying updated with industry developments.
  12. Provide excellent customer service to patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  13. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  14. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and trainings.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Phlebotomist: The Candidate Should Possess A Valid Certification As A Phlebotomist From An Accredited Organization, Demonstrating Their Knowledge And Skills In Blood Collection Techniques.

  • Laboratory Experience: Previous Experience Working In A Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Medical Facility, Is Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Familiar With Laboratory Procedures And Equipment.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Necessary For Accurately Labeling And Identifying Blood Samples And Communicating With Healthcare Professionals.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Phlebotomist - Laboratory Assistant Iii, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Collecting And Handling Blood Samples, Which Requires A High Level Of Precision And Attention To Detail To Avoid Errors And Ensure Accurate Results.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential For This Role. The Candidate Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Laboratory Staff To Ensure Proper Collection And Handling Of Blood Samples.
