- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications to patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all medication orders, including dosage, strength, and labeling.
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies, including ordering, receiving, and stocking.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to resolve any medication-related issues or concerns.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns related to their medications.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols in the handling and preparation of medications.
- Accurately enter and maintain patient and medication information in the pharmacy database.
- Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient pharmacy environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on new medications, procedures, and regulations.
- Follow all legal and ethical guidelines in the handling and dispensing of controlled substances.
- Serve as a role model for other pharmacy technicians by demonstrating professionalism and excellent work ethic.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and assist in implementing new processes and procedures as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Comply with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and find ways to increase efficiency and accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Assist in training and mentoring new pharmacy technicians to ensure they meet the standards of excellence at Orlando Health.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other team members to ensure optimal patient care.

Completion Of An Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (Cpht)
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Pharmacy Technician In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting
Knowledge Of Pharmacy Laws And Regulations, Including Controlled Substance Handling
Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced Environment.
