- Source and negotiate with pharmaceutical suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of products and supplies for the hospital system.
- Monitor inventory levels and make purchasing decisions based on usage and forecasted needs.
- Review and analyze pricing proposals from suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality products.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent and reliable delivery of products.
- Work closely with pharmacy and other hospital departments to understand their needs and requirements for pharmaceutical products.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments to suppliers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchases, contracts, and negotiations.

Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Related Field: A Pharmacy Buyer At Orlando Health Is Expected To Have A Strong Educational Background In Pharmaceuticals Or A Related Field In Order To Understand The Intricacies Of Purchasing Medications And Supplies For A Large Healthcare Organization.
Knowledge Of Pharmaceutical Industry And Market Trends: In Order To Make Informed Purchasing Decisions, A Pharmacy Buyer At Orlando Health Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Pharmaceutical Industry And Stay Updated On Market Trends, Pricing, And Availability Of Medications.
