As an intern in our Pharmacy department, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced pharmacists, gaining valuable knowledge and skills in providing top-notch patient care.   1. Work alongside experienced pharmacists to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical field.
  2. Assist in providing top-notch patient care by accurately and safely dispensing medications.
  3. Learn and adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards, ensuring compliance at all times.
  4. Maintain a thorough understanding of medication uses, side effects, and contraindications.
  5. Assist in monitoring and managing medication inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times.
  6. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper medication therapy for patients.
  7. Participate in medication therapy management and drug utilization reviews.
  8. Utilize pharmacy software and technology to accurately input and retrieve patient information.
  9. Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure all HIPAA regulations are followed.
  10. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in the pharmaceutical field.
  11. Participate in training and educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  12. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in the pharmacy department.
  13. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, their families, and healthcare providers.
  14. Maintain accurate and complete records of all medications and transactions.
  15. Follow all Orlando Health policies and procedures, including those related to ethics and compliance.
  16. Continuously demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to take on new challenges.
  17. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  18. Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment at all times.
  19. Complete all assigned tasks and projects in a timely and efficient manner.
  20. Represent Orlando Health in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Licensure As A Registered Pharmacist In The State Of Florida.

  • A Bachelor's Or Doctor Of Pharmacy Degree From An Accredited Institution.

  • Completion Of A Pharmacy Internship Program Or Equivalent Experience.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Pharmaceutical Drugs, Dosage Forms, And Drug Interactions.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As Attention To Detail And Accuracy In Dispensing Medications.
