  1. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of surgical suites, including cleaning and stocking supplies.
  2. Greet and escort patients to designated areas, ensuring their comfort and answering any questions or concerns.
  3. Collaborate with perioperative teams to ensure efficient and timely patient flow.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of perioperative supplies and equipment.
  5. Organize and transport patient specimens to laboratory.
  6. Assist with patient positioning and transfer during surgical procedures.
  7. Maintain a safe and clean environment by following infection control protocols.
  8. Communicate any patient needs or issues to appropriate healthcare providers.
  9. Provide support to patients and their families by offering assistance and information.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  11. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and trainings.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and improvement.
  13. Demonstrate a positive and empathetic attitude towards patients, families, and colleagues.
  14. Comply with all HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Perioperative Support Associate Job At Orlando Health Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Knowledge And Understanding To Perform The Required Duties.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: The Perioperative Support Associate Must Be Certified In Basic Life Support (Bls) In Order To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Basic First Aid If Needed.

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates With Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Clinic, Are Preferred For This Role. This Experience Demonstrates An Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Protocols.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Perioperative Support Associate Must Have Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.

  • Ability To Work In A Team Environment: The Perioperative Support Associate Will Be Working Closely With Nurses, Surgeons, And Other Healthcare Professionals In The Operating Room. Therefore, The Ability To Work Well In A Team And Collaborate With Others Is Essential For This Role.
