- Ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff by monitoring and enforcing water safety rules and regulations.
- Respond quickly and efficiently in the event of an emergency, administering first aid and performing water rescues as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized pool area, including regularly checking and maintaining pool chemicals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff, providing instruction and guidance on water safety.
- Remain vigilant at all times, constantly scanning the pool area and identifying any potential hazards or safety concerns.
- Adhere to all lifeguarding and CPR/AED protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all incidents and activities.
- Work collaboratively with other lifeguards and staff to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
- Attend regular trainings and meetings to stay current on water safety practices and procedures.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, providing excellent customer service to all individuals at the pool.
- Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, including evenings and weekends.
- Display reliability and punctuality by consistently showing up for scheduled shifts.
- Possess strong observation skills, promptly identifying and addressing any potential safety concerns.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of Orlando Health.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and confidentiality.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Lifeguard Experience In A Professional Setting, Preferably At A Hospital Or Healthcare Facility.
Current Certification In Lifeguarding, Cpr, Aed, And First Aid From A Nationally Recognized Organization Such As American Red Cross Or American Heart Association.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients And Staff In A Professional And Calm Manner.
Strong Knowledge Of Water Safety And Emergency Response Procedures, Including The Ability To Recognize And Respond To Potential Hazards And Perform Rescues.
Availability To Work On An On-Call, Per Diem Basis, Including Weekends And Holidays, With The Flexibility To Cover Shifts On Short Notice.
