- Provide spiritual support and guidance to patients and their families during their time of need.
- Conduct spiritual assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care for patients.
- Offer prayer, sacraments, and other religious rituals based on the patient's beliefs and preferences.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families during difficult times.
- Assist in facilitating communication and conflicts resolution between patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Conduct religious services and ceremonies for patients and staff as needed.
- Coordinate and collaborate with community religious leaders to meet the spiritual needs of patients.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect patient's rights and beliefs at all times.
- Stay up-to-date with current healthcare practices and research related to spiritual care.
- Document all interactions and interventions in patient's medical records.
- Participate in training and education programs to enhance spiritual care skills.
- Serve as a liaison between patients and their spiritual support networks.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
Fluency In Spanish And English: As A Bilingual Chaplain, The Candidate Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively In Both Spanish And English To Provide Spiritual Care To Patients And Their Families.
Ordination Or Endorsement By A Recognized Religious Organization: The Candidate Must Have A Formal Ordination Or Endorsement From A Recognized Religious Organization, Demonstrating Their Qualifications And Commitment To Their Faith.
Experience In Pastoral Care: The Candidate Should Have Experience In Providing Spiritual Care To Patients And Their Families, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. This Includes Conducting Religious Services, Offering Counseling, And Providing Emotional Support.
Cultural Sensitivity: In Addition To Language Proficiency, The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding And Respect For Different Cultures And Belief Systems. This Is Crucial In Providing Spiritual Care To A Diverse Patient Population.
Flexibility And Availability: As A Per Diem Chaplain, The Candidate Must Be Able To Work On An As-Needed Basis And Be Available For Flexible Scheduling, Including Weekends And Holidays.
