  1. Perform echocardiograms on pediatric patients according to established protocols and procedures.
  2. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies needed for echocardiogram procedures.
  3. Ensure patient comfort and safety during echocardiogram procedures.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to pediatric patients.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures, patient information, and equipment maintenance.
  6. Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.
  7. Continuously stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in pediatric echocardiography techniques and technology.
  8. Act as a resource for patients and their families, answering any questions or concerns they may have about the procedure and providing emotional support.
  9. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times, especially when working with young patients and their families.
  10. Participate in training and educational opportunities to further develop skills and knowledge in pediatric echocardiography.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as relevant legal and ethical standards.
  12. Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional healthcare to the community and representing Orlando Health in a positive manner.
  13. Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the pediatric echocardiography department.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.

Job Qualifications
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Rdms) Certification In Pediatric Echocardiography

  • Bachelor's Degree In Sonography Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Performing Pediatric Echocardiograms

  • Knowledge Of Pediatric Cardiac Anatomy, Physiology, And Pathology

  • Familiarity With Pediatric-Specific Equipment And Procedures, Including 3D/4D Imaging And Transesophageal Echocardiography.
