
Patient Placement & Staffing Coordinator

- Coordinate patient placement within the hospital, ensuring that all patients are assigned to the appropriate units based on their medical needs and bed availability.
- Communicate effectively with nursing units, physicians, and other healthcare staff to ensure efficient and timely patient placement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient placements and transfers.
- Monitor and adjust staffing levels to meet patient care needs, including filling open shifts and making necessary scheduling changes.
- Collaborate with unit managers to identify staffing needs and make necessary adjustments to ensure adequate coverage.
- Serve as a point of contact for staff regarding scheduling and staffing inquiries.
- Identify and address any staffing issues or concerns, escalating them to the appropriate personnel as needed.
- Utilize hospital software and systems to manage patient placement and staffing assignments.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay updated on hospital policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff, addressing any concerns or questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Patient Placement Or Staffing Coordination In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Hospital Operations, Patient Flow, And Staffing Requirements.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Liaise With Various Departments And Staff Members.
Ability To Prioritize And Multitask In A Fast-Paced Environment, While Maintaining Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
