- Greet and welcome patients and their families to Orlando Health, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Ensure the delivery of nutritious and appetizing meals to patients in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient meal orders and dietary restrictions.
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety and quality of food served to patients.
- Communicate with patients and their families to ensure their food preferences and dietary needs are met.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide exceptional patient care and support.
- Monitor and report any issues or concerns with patient food orders to the appropriate staff.
- Restock and maintain inventory of food and supplies in patient food service areas.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Candidate For The Patient Food Hospital Attendant Job At Orlando Health Must Possess A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Educational Qualification.
Previous Experience In Food Service Or Hospitality Industry: Prior Experience In A Food Service Or Hospitality Role Is Desirable For This Position, As It Will Demonstrate The Candidate's Understanding Of Food Safety Protocols, Customer Service, And Teamwork.
Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation: As A Patient Food Hospital Attendant, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Handling And Serving Food To Patients, Which Requires Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation Practices To Prevent Food-Borne Illnesses.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact Effectively With Patients, Their Families, And Hospital Staff. This Role Also Involves Taking Meal Orders And Addressing Any Dietary Restrictions Or Preferences, So Good Communication Skills Are Crucial.
Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift/Move Heavy Objects: The Job Of A Patient Food Hospital Attendant Involves Standing For Long Periods, Pushing Food Carts, And Lifting/Moving Heavy Trays And Equipment. Therefore, The Candidate Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks Without Any Difficulty.
