- Oversee and manage the patient access operations in the Emergency Department at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
- Ensure the smooth and efficient flow of patients through the ED, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Lead and motivate a team of patient access representatives to provide exceptional patient care.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve the patient access experience.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any issues related to patient access.
- Train and onboard new patient access representatives.
- Manage and maintain patient records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Handle patient complaints and escalate any issues to the appropriate department.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in patient access and implement them as necessary.
- Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
- Collaborate with other managers to ensure a cohesive and efficient healthcare system.
- Create and maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee satisfaction.
- Develop and manage department budgets and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare laws and regulations.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
5+ Years Of Experience In Patient Access/Registration, Preferably In An Emergency Department Setting.
Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Insurance Verification Processes.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients, Staff, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
