
Opioid/Sub Use Com. Liaison

- Serve as a liaison between Orlando Health and community organizations, treatment centers, and support groups focused on opioid and substance use disorders.
- Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote awareness and collaboration.
- Develop and implement strategies to educate the community about opioid and substance use disorders, including prevention, treatment, and recovery options.
- Coordinate and facilitate events, workshops, and support groups to promote awareness and provide resources to those struggling with opioid and substance use disorders.
- Conduct outreach to individuals and families affected by opioid and substance use disorders, providing support, resources, and referrals to appropriate services.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers within Orlando Health to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to treating opioid and substance use disorders.
- Stay up-to-date on current research, trends, and best practices in the field of opioid and substance use disorders to inform and enhance community outreach efforts.
- Work closely with the marketing and communications team to develop and distribute educational materials and campaigns related to opioid and substance use disorders.
- Maintain accurate records and data related to community outreach activities and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and initiatives.
- Represent Orlando Health at community events, conferences, and meetings to raise awareness and advocate for issues related to opioid and substance use disorders.
- Collaborate with other community liaisons and healthcare professionals to identify and address gaps in services and resources for individuals with opioid and substance use disorders.
- Uphold a non-judgmental and empathetic attitude in all interactions with individuals and families affected by opioid and substance use disorders.
- Adhere to all confidentiality and ethical standards when working with sensitive information.
- Provide support and guidance to other team members at Orlando Health on issues related to opioid and substance use disorders.
- Attend trainings, conferences, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills related to opioid and substance use disorders and community outreach.
Relevant Education And Experience: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In A Related Field Such As Social Work, Psychology, Or Public Health. They Should Also Have Experience Working With Individuals Struggling With Opioid/Substance Use Disorders.
Knowledge Of Opioid/Substance Use Disorders: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Opioid/Substance Use Disorders, Including The Signs And Symptoms, Risk Factors, And Treatment Options. They Should Also Be Familiar With The Local Resources Available For Individuals Seeking Help.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Liaison, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Building Relationships With Various Stakeholders, Including Healthcare Providers, Community Organizations, And Patients. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role.
Ability To Provide Education And Training: The Candidate Should Have Experience In Providing Education And Training On Opioid/Substance Use Disorders To Different Audiences, Such As Healthcare Professionals, Community Members, And Patients. This Includes Creating And Delivering Presentations, Workshops, And Other Educational Materials.
Understanding Of Confidentiality And Ethical Standards: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Confidentiality And Ethical Standards When Working With Individuals Struggling With Substance Use Disorders. They Should Also Be Familiar With Hipaa Regulations And Other Laws Governing Patient Privacy.
