Job Description

Orlando Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as the Director of Infusion Operations for our Oncology department. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our infusion center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.   1. Develop and implement strategic plans and goals for the infusion center, in alignment with the overall goals of the oncology department and Orlando Health.
  2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the infusion center, including staffing, scheduling, and resource management.
  3. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to infusion services, including but not limited to OSHA, Joint Commission, and state/federal regulations.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the oncology team to develop and implement evidence-based protocols for infusion therapy, ensuring the highest level of care for patients.
  5. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and quality of care.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical companies and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of infusion medications and supplies.
  7. Oversee the training and development of infusion center staff, providing guidance and support to ensure a high-performing team.
  8. Monitor and maintain inventory levels and equipment maintenance to ensure the infusion center is adequately equipped to meet patient needs.
  9. Serve as a liaison between the infusion center and other departments, promoting effective communication and collaboration to ensure seamless patient care.
  10. Stay abreast of new developments and advances in oncology and infusion therapy, incorporating best practices into the daily operations of the infusion center.
  11. Foster a culture of patient-centered care and compassion within the infusion center, ensuring that patients and their families are treated with dignity and respect.
  12. Collaborate with leadership and participate in budget planning and management for the infusion center, ensuring financial sustainability and responsible resource allocation.
  13. Serve as a role model and mentor for staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment that values teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth.
  14. Provide timely and accurate reports to senior leadership, highlighting key performance metrics, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  15. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committees, working towards continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Oncology Infusion Operations, Preferably In A Leadership Role.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Chemotherapy Administration Protocols And Infusion Center Operations.

  • Experience In Budget Management, Process Improvement, And Staff Development.

  • Current Rn License And Certification In Oncology Nursing (Ocn) Or Clinical Nurse Specialist (Cns) In Oncology.
