  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' specific needs and goals.
  3. Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve patients' functional abilities and overall quality of life.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to ensure coordinated and effective care for patients.
  5. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge plans.
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest research, techniques, and equipment in the field of occupational therapy.
  7. Educate patients and their families on strategies for managing their condition and maximizing their independence.
  8. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care.
  9. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
  10. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and patience in all interactions with patients and their families.
  11. Collaborate with community organizations and resources to provide patients with access to additional support and services.
  12. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, representing Orlando Health positively to patients, families, and the community.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  14. Continuously evaluate and modify treatment plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  15. Maintain a valid state license and fulfill all continuing education requirements to stay current in the field of occupational therapy.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Therapy: A Wo (Pool) Occupational Therapist At Orlando Health Should Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Therapy From An Accredited Institution.

  • State License/Certification: The Candidate Should Hold A Valid State License Or Certification To Practice As An Occupational Therapist. This License Should Be In Good Standing Without Any Disciplinary Actions.

  • Prior Experience: Previous Experience In An Acute Care Or Hospital Setting Is Preferred For This Role. This Will Help The Candidate To Have A Better Understanding Of The Patient Population And The Specific Demands Of The Job.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As An Occupational Therapist, Effective Communication Is Essential To Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals, Patients, And Their Families. The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills.

  • Empathy And Compassion: Working With Patients Who Have Physical Or Mental Disabilities Requires A High Level Of Empathy And Compassion. A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have A Genuine Desire To Help And Improve The Lives Of Others Through Occupational Therapy.
