- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals.
- Utilize evidence-based techniques and modalities to improve patients' functional abilities and promote independence.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment techniques and strategies for continued progress and success.
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all patient interactions and treatment plans.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice in all aspects of patient care.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities.
- Stay informed about current research and advancements in the field of occupational therapy.
- Comply with all healthcare regulations and safety standards.
- Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.

Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Occupational Therapy: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Therapy From An Accredited Program. A Master's Degree May Be Preferred By Some Employers.
State Licensure: Occupational Therapists Must Hold A Current And Valid State License To Practice. This License Is Obtained By Passing The National Certification Exam Administered By The National Board For Certification In Occupational Therapy (Nbcot).
Clinical Experience: Candidates Must Have Clinical Experience In Occupational Therapy, Including Internships, Rotations, Or Previous Employment In A Healthcare Setting. Experience In A Specific Area Of Practice, Such As Pediatrics Or Geriatrics, May Be Preferred By Some Employers.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Occupational Therapists Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Work With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Must Also Have Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build Rapport With Patients And Help Them Achieve Their Goals.
Knowledge Of Occupational Therapy Principles And Techniques: Candidates Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Occupational Therapy Principles And Techniques, Including Anatomy, Physiology, And Kinesiology. They Must Also Be Familiar With A Variety Of Treatment Modalities And Adaptive Equipment Commonly Used In Occupational Therapy.
