Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Safety Specialist to join our team and ensure that our facilities are compliant with all safety regulations. As an Occupational Safety Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those around you by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.   1. Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
  2. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace.
  3. Train and educate employees on safety procedures and regulations.
  4. Investigate and document any accidents or incidents that occur in the workplace.
  5. Collaborate with department heads and managers to identify potential safety issues and develop solutions.
  6. Monitor and track safety metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  7. Keep up-to-date with industry standards and regulations to ensure the organization is compliant.
  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety protocols and procedures.
  9. Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.
  10. Communicate safety concerns and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
  11. Lead safety committees and meetings to discuss and address safety issues.
  12. Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to stay informed about best practices and industry developments.
  13. Conduct safety training for new employees and provide ongoing training for existing employees.
  14. Identify and implement measures to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
  15. Stay current on emerging safety technologies and tools and make recommendations for their implementation.
  16. Provide support and guidance to employees on safety-related concerns and issues.
  17. Conduct investigations into any safety-related complaints or concerns.
  18. Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety-related policies and procedures.
  19. Provide regular reports and updates on safety performance and initiatives to management.
  20. Continuously evaluate and improve safety processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of safety possible for employees and patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Safety, Health, Or A Related Field

  • Certification In Occupational Health And Safety (E.g. Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist)

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Osha Regulations And Compliance Standards

  • Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Develop And Implement Safety Programs And Train Employees On Safety Protocols.
