Orlando Health is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Nursing Operations Manager for our Women's Gyn/Women's ICU unit.   1. Oversee daily operations of the Women's Gyn/Women's ICU unit, including patient care, staffing, and budget management.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient care, improve efficiency, and promote a positive work environment.
  3. Hire, train, and manage nursing staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels and appropriate skill mix.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing coaching and feedback as needed.
  5. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including those related to patient safety and quality of care.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes.
  7. Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, providing guidance and support to promote professional growth and development.
  8. Coordinate and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop and implement care plans.
  9. Utilize data and analytics to identify areas for improvement and make evidence-based decisions to enhance patient care.
  10. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the unit.
  11. Respond to patient and family concerns or complaints in a timely and compassionate manner.
  12. Represent the Women's Gyn/Women's ICU unit in meetings and committees, both within the organization and in the community.
  13. Collaborate with other nursing leaders to develop and implement organization-wide initiatives and projects.
  14. Maintain a strong understanding of current trends and developments in nursing and healthcare, incorporating them into practice as appropriate.
  15. Foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity within the unit, promoting a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Nursing Operations Manager At Orlando Health Must Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution. This Qualification Ensures A Strong Foundation In Nursing Principles And Practices.

  • Active Rn License: The Ideal Candidate Must Hold An Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Florida. This Demonstrates Their Competency And Compliance With State Regulations For Nursing Practice.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Nursing Experience: To Effectively Oversee Operations In The Women's Gyn/Women's Icu Department, The Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Nursing Experience, Preferably In A Similar Setting. This Provides Them With The Necessary Clinical Knowledge And Understanding Of The Department's Operations.

  • Leadership And Management Experience: A Nursing Operations Manager Must Have Previous Experience In A Leadership Or Management Role, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Overseeing A Team And Managing Operations. This Qualification Ensures The Candidate Has The Necessary Skills To Lead And Motivate A Team Of Nurses.
