Welcome to Orlando Health, one of the top healthcare systems in Central Florida. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our Intermediate Care (IMC) team. As a Nursing Assistant IMC, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and support to our IMC unit.   1. Provide compassionate and dedicated care to patients in the Intermediate Care unit.
  2. Assist registered nurses and other healthcare professionals in providing quality patient care.
  3. Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff.
  4. Perform basic nursing procedures such as taking vital signs, measuring and recording intake and output, and assisting with activities of daily living.
  5. Maintain a clean and safe patient environment, including changing linens and ensuring adequate supplies.
  6. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  7. Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  9. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  10. Participate in ongoing educational and training opportunities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  11. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and positive attitude while working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  12. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  13. Act as a patient advocate and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  14. Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings and supporting colleagues.
  16. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  17. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth and development.
  18. Comply with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  19. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Orlando Health in all interactions.
  20. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) License In The State Of Florida.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience As A Nursing Assistant In An Intermediate Care Or Similar Setting.

  • Current Bls (Basic Life Support) Certification.

  • Strong Communication Skills And Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.
