  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients with surgical oncology needs.
  2. Collaborate with experienced nurses and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
  3. Participate in patient assessments, evaluations, and treatment plans.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  5. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Nurse Resident In Surgical Oncology At Orlando Health Should Have A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Principles And Prepares Candidates For The Comprehensive Care Required In A Surgical Oncology Setting.

  • Current Nursing License: All Candidates For The Nurse Resident Position At Orlando Health Must Have A Valid Nursing License In The State Of Florida. This License Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Educational Requirements And Has Passed The State's Nursing Board Exam.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Bls Certification Is Mandatory For All Healthcare Professionals, Including Nurses. A Nurse Resident In Surgical Oncology Should Have Current Bls Certification To Provide Emergency Care In Case Of Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Distress, Or Other Life-Threatening Situations.

  • Prior Experience In Surgical Oncology: Although The Nurse Resident Position Is An Entry-Level Role, Previous Experience In A Surgical Oncology Setting Is Preferred. This Experience Can Include Clinical Rotations, Internships, Or Work Experience In A Surgical Oncology Unit.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Nurse Resident In Surgical Oncology, The Candidate Will Work Closely With A Multidisciplinary Team Including Surgeons, Oncologists, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential To Ensure The Smooth Delivery Of Patient Care And Positive Outcomes.
