As the Nurse Residency Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in developing and managing our nurse residency program, providing support and guidance to new nurses as they begin their career with us.   1. Develop and implement a comprehensive nurse residency program for new nurses joining Orlando Health.
  2. Create and maintain program curriculum, including orientation materials, educational resources, and training modules.
  3. Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify program goals and objectives, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  4. Recruit and onboard new nurse residents, providing them with a welcoming and supportive environment.
  5. Serve as a mentor and role model to nurse residents, providing guidance and support as they transition into their new roles.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the progress of nurse residents, providing feedback and adjusting the program as needed to ensure success.
  7. Coordinate with clinical preceptors and educators to ensure that nurse residents receive comprehensive and high-quality training.
  8. Collaborate with other departments, such as human resources and finance, to ensure program compliance and budget management.
  9. Maintain updated knowledge of nursing education best practices and incorporate them into the residency program.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as universities and nursing associations, to promote the nurse residency program and attract top talent.
  11. Oversee the evaluation and selection process for potential nurse residents.
  12. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to nurse residency programs.
  13. Serve as a liaison between nurse residents and nursing leadership, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  14. Continuously assess and improve the nurse residency program to ensure its effectiveness and success.
  15. Participate in organizational meetings and committees to represent the nurse residency program and advocate for its growth and development.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field, With A Preference For A Master's Degree In Nursing Administration Or Healthcare Management.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Residency Program Or Education Department.

  • Active Rn License In The State Of Florida, Or Eligibility To Obtain One.

  • Strong Understanding Of Evidence-Based Practice And Current Trends In Nursing Education And Training.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Develop And Maintain Relationships With Internal And External Stakeholders Including Residents, Preceptors, And Program Directors.
