  1. Provide comprehensive care to patients struggling with mental health and substance abuse disorders.
  2. Work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  3. Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments to determine appropriate course of treatment.
  4. Prescribe and manage medication for patients in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  5. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  6. Educate patients and their families on mental health and substance abuse disorders, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  8. Collaborate with community resources and organizations to provide support and resources for patients.
  9. Stay current on developments and advancements in the field of behavioral health.
  10. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice.
  11. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and respect for patients and their families.
  12. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment protocols and policies.
  13. Act as an advocate for patients and their needs within the healthcare system.
  14. Attend trainings, conferences, and seminars to further develop clinical skills and knowledge.
  15. Adhere to Orlando Health's mission, vision, and values in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Pmhnp)

  • Active And Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner License In The State Of Florida

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Nurse Practitioner In A Behavioral Health Setting

  • Certification As A Pmhnp From A Nationally Recognized Organization, Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc)

  • Demonstrated Knowledge And Experience In Diagnosing And Treating Mental Health Disorders, As Well As Providing Psychotherapy And Medication Management To Patients.
