
Neurotechnologist Technician, Neurodiagnostic

- Conduct Neurodiagnostic Testing: Perform a variety of neurodiagnostic tests including electroencephalograms (EEGs), nerve conduction studies (NCS), and evoked potentials (EPs) on patients to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
- Maintain Equipment: Ensure all neurodiagnostic equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies to ensure accurate and safe testing. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report any issues to the appropriate department.
- Record and Analyze Results: Record and analyze test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data. Communicate significant findings to the supervising physician or healthcare team as necessary.
- Educate Patients: Explain the testing procedures to patients, answer any questions they may have, and ensure their comfort and safety during the tests.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
- Maintain Patient Confidentiality: Adhere to patient confidentiality guidelines and maintain the security of sensitive patient information at all times.
- Maintain Documentation: Accurately document all testing procedures, results, and patient information in electronic medical records and other required documents.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure patient safety and maintain regulatory standards.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with advancements in neurodiagnostic technology and techniques through ongoing education, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times while interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive patient experience.
Bachelor's Degree In Neurodiagnostics, Neurotechnology, Or A Related Field.
Certification As A Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist (R.neuro.t) Through The American Board Of Registration Of Electroencephalographic And Evoked Potential Technologists (Abret).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Neurotechnologist Technician In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.
Proficiency In Performing Electroencephalograms (Eegs), Evoked Potentials (Eps), And Nerve Conduction Studies (Ncss).
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Closely With Physicians, Patients, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
