- Perform neurodiagnostic procedures: Utilize specialized equipment and techniques to conduct neurological tests and procedures, including EEGs, EMGs, and nerve conduction studies.
- Monitor patient comfort and safety: Ensure that patients are comfortable and safe during procedures, and respond quickly to any changes in their condition.
- Analyze and interpret test results: Accurately analyze and interpret test data to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
- Maintain equipment and records: Regularly maintain and calibrate equipment, and keep detailed records of procedures and test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure accurate test results.
- Educate patients and families: Explain procedures and test results to patients and their families, and provide education on neurological disorders and treatment options.
- Stay current with industry developments: Continuously update knowledge and skills through participation in training programs and staying informed about industry developments and advancements.
- Adhere to safety protocols: Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and self during procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality: Respect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Provide exceptional patient care: Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, and strive to provide the highest quality of care at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Neurodiagnostics Or A Related Field.
Certification As A Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.eeg.t) Or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (R.psg.t) Through The American Board Of Registration Of Electroencephalographic And Evoked Potential Technologists (Abret).
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience As A Neurodiagnostic Technologist, With At Least 2 Years In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role.
Extensive Knowledge Of Neuroanatomy, Physiology, And Neurophysiological Testing Techniques.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Supervise A Team Of Technologists.
