We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate individual to join our team as a Monitor Tech on a PRN basis, working days. In this role, you will play a critical role in monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms for our patients.   1. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients using specialized equipment and software.
  2. Maintain accurate records of patient heart rate and rhythm readings.
  3. Communicate any abnormal readings or changes in patient condition to healthcare team.
  4. Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure appropriate treatment plans for patients.
  5. Monitor and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  6. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  7. Provide compassionate care to patients and families, maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor.
  8. Stay up-to-date on new technology and procedures related to cardiac monitoring.
  9. Document all observations and interventions accurately and in a timely manner.
  10. Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  11. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  12. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings.
  13. Assist with other duties as assigned by the nurse manager or supervisor.
  14. Promote a positive and welcoming work environment for all team members.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and promoting patient satisfaction.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For This Position Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Demonstrate Basic Knowledge And Understanding Of Medical Terminology.

  • Completion Of Cardiac Arrhythmia Course: A Certification Or Completion Of A Cardiac Arrhythmia Course Is Essential To Perform The Tasks Of A Monitor Tech. This Course Provides Training On Identifying And Interpreting Cardiac Rhythms.

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience Working In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting Is Preferred For This Position. This Will Demonstrate Familiarity With Medical Equipment And Procedures, As Well As An Understanding Of Patient Care.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: A Current Bls Certification Is Required For This Role To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Basic Life Support If Needed.

  • Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: As A Monitor Tech, Effective Communication And Critical Thinking Skills Are Crucial For Accurately Documenting And Reporting Any Changes In Cardiac Rhythms To The Medical Team. The Ability To Multitask And Pay Attention To Detail Is Also Essential.
