Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified and compassionate Monitor Tech to join our Centralized Telemetry team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms for patients throughout our hospital system. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills, and is able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.   1. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients throughout the hospital system.
  2. Report any abnormal rhythms or changes in patient condition to the appropriate medical staff.
  3. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions or issues.
  4. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all cardiac rhythms and patient information.
  5. Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and their families regarding cardiac rhythm monitoring.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  9. Remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
  10. Continuously update knowledge of cardiac rhythms and stay updated on new technology and procedures.
  11. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  12. Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  13. Attend training and educational sessions as required.
  14. Uphold the mission and values of Orlando Health.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Experience In Monitoring Cardiac Rhythms And Interpreting Telemetry Data Is Required.

  • Proficiency In Using Cardiac Monitoring Equipment And Computer Systems For Data Entry And Retrieval Is Essential.

  • Completion Of A Certified Monitor Technician Program Or Equivalent Training Is Preferred.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Multitask In A Fast-Paced Environment Is Necessary.
