We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Monitor Tech for our Centralized Telemetry department. In this role, you will play a vital role in monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients.   1. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms accurately and efficiently to ensure the safety and well-being of patients in the Centralized Telemetry department.
  2. Maintain a thorough understanding of EKG interpretation and utilize this knowledge to identify and report any abnormal cardiac rhythms.
  3. Work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure timely and appropriate interventions for patients based on cardiac monitoring results.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  6. Respond promptly to alarms and abnormal rhythms, taking appropriate action to ensure patient safety.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding cardiac monitoring and any changes in patient status.
  8. Troubleshoot technical issues with monitoring equipment and report any malfunctions or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as industry guidelines and regulations related to patient monitoring.
  10. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  11. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on new developments in cardiac monitoring and technology.
  12. Assist with additional tasks and duties as needed to support the Centralized Telemetry department and promote excellent patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience With Ekg Interpretation: A Monitor Tech At Orlando Health Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Ekg Interpretation And Be Able To Recognize Abnormal Rhythms And Identify Potential Cardiac Issues.

  • Knowledge Of Telemetry Equipment: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Telemetry Equipment, Including Setting Up And Troubleshooting Devices, As Well As Knowledge Of Central Monitoring Systems.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Monitor Tech, Effective Communication Is Crucial In Relaying Important Information To Nurses And Physicians Regarding Changes In A Patient's Cardiac Status.

  • Ability To Multitask And Prioritize: Centralized Telemetry Units At Orlando Health Are Often Busy And Fast-Paced Environments. A Monitor Tech Must Be Able To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks To Ensure Timely And Accurate Monitoring Of Patients.
