- Conduct mental health assessments and develop treatment plans for patients.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to patients.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Keep accurate and confidential records of patient sessions and progress.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of mental health.
- Maintain all necessary licensure and certifications required to practice therapy.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress.
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Attend regular meetings and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Advocate for patients' rights and needs within the healthcare system.
- Maintain a positive and supportive attitude towards patients and their families.
- Continuously evaluate and improve own performance and seek feedback from peers and supervisors.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote mental health awareness.
Master's Degree In Counseling, Psychology, Or Related Field
Licensure As A Mental Health Counselor In The State Of Florida
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting
Knowledge And Understanding Of Evidence-Based Therapy Techniques, Such As Cbt And Dbt
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Rapport With Patients And Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams.
