Job Description

We are currently seeking a compassionate and driven Mental Health Tech II to join our dynamic team. This role will play a crucial part in assisting our patients with mental health conditions by providing direct patient care and support. We are looking for candidates who possess a strong understanding of mental health disorders, excellent communication skills, and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.   1. Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with mental health conditions.
  2. Monitor and document patient behavior, progress, and responses to treatment.
  3. Assist patients with daily living activities, such as grooming, bathing, and eating.
  4. Facilitate therapeutic and recreational activities for patients.
  5. Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  6. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
  7. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
  8. Respond to crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions.
  9. Educate patients on coping skills and healthy behaviors.
  10. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
  13. Promote a positive and inclusive work environment for all employees.
  14. Contribute to team meetings and participate in treatment planning.
  15. Ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information at all times.
  16. Follow infection control and safety protocols.
  17. Provide guidance and support to other staff members, such as Mental Health Tech I's.
  18. Maintain a compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients and their families.
  19. Demonstrate a strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment methods.
  20. Serve as an advocate for patients by promoting their rights and needs.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Mental Health Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting

  • Certification As A Mental Health Technician Or Similar Credential

  • Strong Understanding Of Mental Health Diagnoses And Treatment Modalities

  • Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Team Members.
