This role will play a crucial part in assisting our patients with mental health conditions by providing direct patient care and support. - Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with mental health conditions.
- Monitor and document patient behavior, progress, and responses to treatment.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as grooming, bathing, and eating.
- Facilitate therapeutic and recreational activities for patients.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Respond to crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions.
- Educate patients on coping skills and healthy behaviors.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment for all employees.
- Contribute to team meetings and participate in treatment planning.
- Ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information at all times.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols.
- Provide guidance and support to other staff members, such as Mental Health Tech I's.
- Maintain a compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients and their families.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment methods.
- Serve as an advocate for patients by promoting their rights and needs.
Bachelor's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Or Related Field
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Mental Health Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting
Certification As A Mental Health Technician Or Similar Credential
Strong Understanding Of Mental Health Diagnoses And Treatment Modalities
Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Team Members.
