- Oversee the nursing student program at Orlando Health in Melbourne, ensuring its effectiveness and success.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local nursing schools and universities to recruit students for the program.
- Coordinate and schedule clinical rotations for nursing students, ensuring they meet the necessary requirements and guidelines set by the institution.
- Serve as a mentor and guide for nursing students, providing support and guidance throughout their clinical experience.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and educators to create a comprehensive learning experience for nursing students.
- Facilitate orientation and onboarding for new nursing students, ensuring they are familiar with the policies and procedures of Orlando Health.
- Evaluate and assess the performance of nursing students, providing feedback and guidance to help them improve.
- Participate in the selection and hiring process of nursing students for the program.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of nursing student progress and participation in the program.
- Keep up-to-date with nursing education trends and best practices to continuously improve the student program at Orlando Health.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Nursing Knowledge And Principles.
Current Nursing License: The Candidate Must Hold A Current And Valid Nursing License From The State Of Florida. This Demonstrates That The Candidate Is Qualified To Practice Nursing And Has Met All Necessary Requirements.
Previous Nursing Experience: Prior Experience In A Nursing Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting, Is Preferred. This Experience Will Provide The Candidate With A Better Understanding Of The Needs And Challenges Faced By Nursing Students.
Leadership Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Coordinate And Guide Nursing Students. This Includes The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Communicate Effectively, And Provide Support And Direction To Students.
Strong Organizational Skills: As A Coordinator, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing And Organizing Various Aspects Of The Nursing Student Program. Therefore, Strong Organizational Skills Are Essential To Ensure The Smooth And Efficient Operation Of The Program.
